Referral Services

Call the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute office at (816) 531-2600. A secretary is usually available between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM on weekdays, however a phone mail message may be left at any time. Be sure to leave your name and phone number along with the best times to reach you. Also, please mention the “referral service.”

The referral coordinator, and Institute faculty member, will return your call and, if you wish, setup an initial consultation (at no charge). This service is also available to mental health professional who may wish to refer their own clients for psychoanalysis and want to consult as to their suitability.

If a referral for psychoanalysis is made, further arrangements are between you and the analyst to whom you have been referred. If something other than psychoanalysis seems to be indicated, the coordinator will help you find the appropriate resources.
